Pagan Kirtan: Pesented by: Blackwillow Starling
Traditional Kirtan is a devotional practice involving the call and response chanting of divine names or mantras accompanied by music.
The shared spiritual practice of Kirtan is used to clear the mind, open the heart, and bring a deep relaxation. Although its roots are from India, it is widely practiced in the Hindu faith. Kirtan is considered to be universal and a non-denominational practice.
Our version of Kirtan for this workshop will also include a call and response method but with a pagan perspective! The workshop is open to all regardless of skill. You do not need to sing well to participate! Or bring a drum and play along. Come and experience this joyful and playful workshop.
