Sumbel Celebration

Sumbel is a ritual drinking celebration. 1. Toasts are drunk to the Gods. 2. Ancestors and personal heroes. 3. Oaths, boast and song or poetry.
This is an adult Ritual. Mead will be used. But folks can still attend if they don’t drink alcohol. Anyone under the age of 21, needs to have permission from a parent or guardian. This ritual will take place after 9 pm around a fire. Date and time TBA

For those who are new to the Magical Gift Exchange this is how it goes. Wrap your gift (can be new or old) so that others cannot see what it is. Include your name and something about the gift on paper. You bring your gift to the ritual area. Place your gift on the corresponding cloth that best represents your gift. There will be cloth for each of the five elements: Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Spirit. Once everyone has placed their gifts, we will take a moment and meditate and open ourselves to receive what is needed. Then we will process around in a circle 3 times and chant allowing people to reach out with their senses to which gift calls to them. After the three passes people will pick up the gift that calls to them. After everyone has picked up a gift, we will stop and give thanks to the divine (as you know it to be) for leading you to the right gift. We open the gift and find the giver to thank them or find out more information on the gift. Then we close the ritual and all may leave the sacred space.  There is also no spending limit. Gifts can be made or purchased as long as they have magical intent.
